03. Virtual Machine





Template do Ubuntu Server 8.04 x32

Preparação do Template


- Em IP address / Name digitar o IP do VMware vCenter.

- Selecionar Use Windows session credentials.


- Clicar em Login.



- Clicar em Home.

- Clicar em Hosts and Clusters.




- Clicar com botão direito do mouse no Host 10.1.1.11.

- Clicar em New Virtual Machine.




- Selecionar Custom.

- Clicar em Next.




- Em Name digitar Ubuntu Server 8.04 x32.

- Clicar em Next.




- Selecionar vSphere-Datastore-VM-01.

- Clicar em Next.




- Selecionar Virtual Machine Version: 7.

- Clicar em Next.




- Em Guest Operation System selecionar Linux.

- Em Version selecionar Ubuntu Linux (32-bit).

- Clicar em Next.




- Em Number of virtual processors selecionar 1.

- Clicar em Next.




- Em Memory Size digitar 512 MB.

- Clicar em Next.




- Clicar em Next.



- Selecionar LSI Logic Parallel.

- Clicar em Next.




- Selecionar Create a new virtual disk.

- Clicar em Next.




- Em Disk Size digitar 4 GB.

- Selecionar Store with the virtual machine.

- Clicar em Next.




- Selecionar SCSI (0:0).

- Clicar em Next.




- Selecionar Edit the virtual machine settings before completion.

- Clicar em Continue.




- Selecionar New Floppy (adding).

- Clicar em Remove.




- Selecionar New CD/DVD (adding).

- Clicar em Browse.




- Clicar 2 vezes no Datastore vSphere-Datastore-VM-01.



- Clicar 2 vezes no diretório ISOs.



- Selecionar a imagem .ISO de instalação do Ubuntu Server 8.04 x32.

- Clicar em OK.



- Selecionar Connect at power on.

- Clicar em Finish.



Instalação do Template


- Selecionar a Virtual Machine Ubuntu Server 8.04 x32.

- Clicar em Power.



- Clicar no Console da Virtual Machine Ubuntu Server 8.04 x32.



- Selecionar Português do Brasil e pressionar ENTER.
 


- Selecionar Install Ubuntu Server e pressionar ENTER.



- Em Nome da máquina digitar vSphere-Ubuntu-01.vmware.net, conforme Informações do Ambiente.

- Pressionar ENTER.




- Selecionar São Paulo e pressionar ENTER.



- Selecionar Assistido - usar disco inteiro e pressionar ENTER.



- Pressionar ENTER.



- Selecionar Sim e pressionar ENTER.



- Instalação do Ubuntu Server.



- Em Nome completo para o novo usuário digitar vmware e pressionar ENTER.



- Em Nome de usuário para sua conta digitar vmware e pressionar ENTER.



- Em Escolha uma senha para o novo usuário digitar vmware e pressionar ENTER.



- Em Informe a senha novamente para verificação digitar novamente vmware e pressionar ENTER.



- Pressionar ENTER.



- Selecionar OpenSSH server e pressionar ENTER.



- Pressionar ENTER.



Converção para Template


- Iniciar a Virtual Machine do Ubuntu Server 8.04 x32.

- Em login digitar vmware.

- Em password digitar vmware.




- Executar o comando:

$ sudo passwd root
[sudo] password for vmware: vmware
Enter new UNIX password: vmware
Retype new UNIX password: vmware



- Clicar no Menu VM.

- Clicar em Power.

- Clicar em Power Off.




- Clicar em Sim.



- Clicar com botão direito do mouse na Virtual Machine Ubuntu Server 8.04 x32.

- Clicar em Template.

- Clicar em Convert to Template.




- Clicar em Hosts and Clusters.

- Clicar em VMs and Templates.





Criação da VM utilizando o Template


- Clicar com botão direito do mouse no Template Ubuntu Server 8.04 x32.

- Clicar em Deploy Virtual Machine from this Template.




- Em Name digitar vSphere-Ubuntu-01 conforme Informações do Ambiente.

- Selecionar vSphere.

- Clicar em Next.




- Selecionar 10.1.1.11.

- Clicar em Next.




- Selecionar o Datastore vSphere-Datastore-VM-01.

- Clicar em Next.




- Selecionar Same format as source.

- Clicar em Next.




- Selecionar Do not customize.

- Clicar em Next.




Clicar em Finish.



- Progresso de criação da VM do vSphere-Ubuntu-01.



VMware Tools no Ubuntu Server 8.04 x32

Preparação do Ubuntu Server


- Selecionar a Virtual Machine vSphere-Ubuntu-01.

- Clicar no Power.




- Clicar no Console da Virtual Machine.



- Em login digitar root e pressionar ENTER.

- Em password digitar vmware e pressionar ENTER.




- Executar o comando:

# dhclient

- Anotar o endereço IP que aparece em bound to 10.1.1.X.




- Acessar o Ubuntu Server utilizando o SSH Client do Linux Mint.

- Executar o comando:


$ ssh root@10.1.1.132

- Atualizar a lista de pacotes do Ubuntu Server:

- Instalar as ferramentas de desenvolvimento do Ubuntu Server:

# aptitude install build-essential linux-headers-2.6.24-24-server -y


- Reiniciar o Ubuntu Server:

# reboot


- Depois de reiniciar o Ubuntu Server é necessário efetuar o mesmo procedimento para configurar o endereço IP automaticamente.

login: root
password: vmware

- No Linux Mint, executar o comando:

$ ssh root@10.1.1.132


- Agora no Ubuntu Server, atualizar a localização das bibliotecas do Ubuntu Server:

# ldconfig


- Atualizar as informações dos módulos do Kernel:

# depmod -a


Instalação do VMware Tools


- No Console da VM do Ubuntu Server, clicar no Menu VM.

- Clicar em Guest.

- Clicar em Install/Upgrade VMware Tools.




- Clicar em OK.



- Voltando para o Ubuntu Server via SSH Client.

- Montar o CDROM de instalação do VMware Tools:


# mount /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom


- Acessar o diretório de instalação do VMware Tools:

# cd /media/cdrom

- Descompactar o arquivo de instalação:

# tar -zxvf VMwareTools-4.0.0-171294.tar.gz -C /opt

- Acessar o diretório de instalação descompactado:

# cd /opt/vmware-tools-distrib


- Executar o script em Perl de instalação do VMware Tools.
- Pressionar ENTER para todas as perguntas.


# ./vmware-install.pl

Configuração do Ubuntu Server


- Para criar a configuração do driver da placa de rede, executar o comando:

# echo -e '#!/bin/sh -e\n\n\nrmmod pcnet32 vmxnet\nmodprobe vmxnet\n/etc/init.d/networking restart' > /etc/rc.local


- Para criar a configuração do endereçamento IP da rede do Ubuntu Server, executar o comando:

# echo -e 'auto eth1\niface eth1 inet static\n   address 10.1.1.201\n   netmask 255.255.255.0\n   gateway 10.1.1.2' >> /etc/network/interfaces


- Reiniciar o Ubuntu Server para que utilizar as novas configurações:

# reboot


- Depois de reiniciar o Ubuntu Server, acessá-lo com o novo IP utilizando o SSH Client do Linux Mint.

$ ssh root@10.1.1.201

- Clicar na aba Summary.
